I have been a Methodist minister for nearly 27 years, nineteen of which I have served as a Superintendent.
I continually enjoy developing who I am as a leader with the Methodist Church. I enjoy the leadership training of John Maxwell who says in one of his books, "leadership develops daily not in a day!" I have found that to be very true – a constant growth process.
I have served in Bristol, Liverpool, Devon and Cornwall (in one of the Chapels I looked after I was told depending upon where you stood within the Chapel you were either in Devon or Cornwall); North Yorkshire and now in Doncaster; we are delighted to be here.
I am married to Wendy, we have four children and five grandchildren. Debbie lives with us and is reliant on Wendy’s love and care as some one with a disability. I am constantly grateful for the support I receive from Wendy; I could not be the minister I am today without her love. We have a little house cat Mitzi – who is very much part of the family.
My passions in ministry are small group work and enabling people in their discipleship; helping people to imagine a different future using creative thinking; helping people to engage with the Bible; pastoral work and preaching.
During my time within the Methodist Church I have served on the faith and order network, rural forums, district safeguarding teams and during my time in Darlington district was part of the training network.
During my spare time I enjoy Lego, fishing, bird watching and coloured pencil art.
It is a joy to be in Doncaster and to this Circuit.
