It's good to be back writing for the schools workers blog again after the break for summer and the busy back to school period. I hope you all had a pleasant summer and looking forward to all God will bless us with over this Harvest Season and looking forward to Advent and Christmas.
Over the month of September I did 3 prayer walks around the communities of Bentley, Sprotbrough and Intake, Starting at a School and finishing at a different school praying for the Schools, Churches, families and communities in that area. At each school I popped into the reception area to ask if there is anything I can pray for them. It was truly a blessing to be able to stop and reflect on the needs of each community and pray into that place. During my prayer walks I also had chance to speak with a couple of residents in that community and talk a little about praying and my faith. It was a fantastic, if unexpected, chance to share Gods' work.
I'm sure you all know the Acronym P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens) so if you would like to pray with me here are some main prayer points from each of the communities that you might like to pray on
Bentley, Scawthorpe and Toll Bar- A lot of poverty and need in the area, please pray for Gods Provision on those families who are struggling. Pray for those working to provide help.
Intake- similar story to Bentley as well as a lot of SEN need in the schools.
Sprotbrough- Prayers for the staff! Copley mainly are struggling with staffing needs at the moment but all schools have newly qualified teachers, praying for them as they start their careers in teaching. Also prayers for the student of Copley who was hit by a car earlier this year and he continues on the road to recovery, prayers for his family, friends and teachers.
I hope to plan some more prayer walks for the warmer months and hope others will join with me.
Thanks and God Bless.
